Terms of Service

The rules for using Gigston’s Telegram Mini App, deal tools, and non-custodial TON escrow.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Gigston — including the Telegram Mini App, website, bots, and related software that help clients and freelancers create, manage, and complete freelance deals using non-custodial escrow on TON.

By accessing or using Gigston, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service immediately.

2. What Gigston is

Gigston is a Telegram Mini App platform that helps clients and freelancers create and complete freelance deals with non-custodial TON escrow. That includes Jobs listings, Direct Deal invites, deal status tracking in the Mini App, and tools to fund, release, and open disputes against open-source escrow smart contracts on TON.

Gigston is not a bank, custodian, payment processor, or employer. We do not hold user funds or private keys. Escrow balances live in smart contracts on TON until release, refund, or dispute resolution according to the on-chain logic and these Terms. Where Gigston’s backend submits an escrow-related transaction, it only relays a payload already signed by the relevant user wallet — it does not independently move or access escrow funds.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and may only use Gigston in compliance with applicable law. You are responsible for your Telegram account, wallet, and any actions taken through them.

4. Deals and deal records

Each deal on Gigston records information such as title, description (scope text), budget, timeline, participants, and status history. Parties are responsible for writing a clear description before funding. Day-to-day coordination often happens in Telegram chats outside the deal record.

Freelancers mark work as submitted through Gigston; that updates deal status and does not currently upload files or messages into a dedicated in-deal inbox. See the Dispute policy for how funded-deal disagreements are handled.

5. Escrow and wallets

Clients fund escrow from a wallet they control. Freelancers receive release to a wallet they control. You connect via TON Connect and are solely responsible for wallet security, seed phrases, and transaction confirmation.

Escrow actions that require a party’s authorization (such as funding, release, or opening a dispute) are signed by that party’s wallet. Gigston’s backend may relay those signed messages to the blockchain; it does not custody balances and cannot move escrow funds without the signatures and on-chain rules defined by the smart contract.

Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed. Gigston cannot cancel, reverse, or roll back confirmed blockchain transactions. Network fees, congestion, and smart-contract behavior are outside Gigston’s control.

6. Jobs and Direct Deals

  • Jobs. Public or listed opportunities where freelancers apply and a client may accept an application into a deal.
  • Direct Deals. A private deal shared through an invite link when parties already agreed to work together.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Gigston for illegal activity, fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion, IP infringement, harassment, or attempts to manipulate escrow, disputes, or other users. You may not probe, exploit, or publicly weaponize vulnerabilities in the platform or its smart contracts, or attempt to bypass security, access, or escrow controls. We may restrict access where necessary to protect the service or comply with law, without implying custody of funds.

8. Intellectual property

Gigston’s brand, name, logos, interface design, and proprietary software are owned by Gigston or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them except as expressly allowed by these Terms or a separate written license.

Open-source repositories published by Gigston (including escrow smart-contract code) are governed by their own license files. Those licenses control use of that code and apply separately from these Terms.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to Gigston if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, create security or legal risk, or if required by law. Suspension or termination of product access does not give Gigston custody of escrow funds and does not by itself reverse confirmed on-chain transactions.

10. Disclaimers

Gigston is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, particular deal outcomes, or freelancer/client performance.

Gigston is not a party to agreements between clients and freelancers. Those agreements are between the users. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Gigston and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of crypto assets arising from user error, wallet compromise, or third-party networks.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
